Herrington records furious charge during Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park

Once again behind the wheel of the MJ Motorsports No. 86 machine, Wil Herrington checked into Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) on Friday afternooon to compete in the Crate Racin' USA portion of the Sunshine Nationals.

After an eighth-place finish in a semi-feature, Herrington recorded a DNF in his last chance showdwon, but received a provisional starting spot in 35th. Wil stormed through the field during the 30-lap main event and made his way inside the Top-10 to finsh sixth. Herrington gained a total of 29 positions during the $10,000-to-win feature.
