Wil Herrington grabs Top-5 outing with World of Outlaws at Swainsboro Raceway
On Friday afternoon, Wil Herrington was back behind the wheel of the Bruce Kane Racing No. 15K at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway for the two-day World of Outlaws Late Model Series show.
With a stout field of over 40 Late Models in the pit area, Herrington kicked off the evening with the eighth-quickest lap in his qualifying group. Wil started 12th in the $12,000-to-win opener after a third-place run in his heat race and charged his way forward to a fifth-place finish in the main event. He trailed Bobby Pierce, Ryan Gustin, Drake Troutman, and Cory Hedgecock.
The following night, Wil fell behind in his heat race and missed out on a transfer position in his last chance showdown.
