Wil Herrington captures Southern Thunder opener at Cochran Motor Speedway
Cochran, GA (April 18, 2026) – Wil Herrington captured the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series opener in front of a packed hometown crowd at Cochran (Ga.) Motor Speedway. After charging from third to first in his heat race to earn the pole, Wil Herrington led all 50 laps of the feature to keep the $10,000 payday in Georgia. Mark Whitener and Kyle Bronson completed the podium in the series opener.
